openVFR North America for FSX

The landclass is one of the best ways to improve an extra large scenery (state, country or even contient) with low impact on framerates.

openVFR developers are working at it after Europe, and the first part of USA. They have now more US states available for purchase, as you can select just the ones you are interested in.

“Lately the openVFR team  from www.openVFR.de has added some more countries to their FSX scenery for North America. The following US states have been launched: Alaska, California, Delaware, El Salvador, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

You can comment some first screens on the openVFR Facebook page: www.openVFR.freyt.de/facebook/

For the first time also a South American country, Venezuela, has been published as well. It has been developed, following several requests from the flight sim community. “After the release of openVFR North America we got a lot of encouraging feedback from the flight sim community to continue our development and add even more countries. Many thanks for your comments. Also we are very happy to see that our new free tool for requesting specific areas for the development cycle is used such frequently.”, Markus Freyt states. “Fortunately Openstreetmap covers the whole planet with fantastic data for every place. So, when selecting the new countries we have listened to those flight simmers.”

If you wish a concrete country to be developed, please send your free request at: http://openvfr.freyt.de/magento/index.php/missing_country.”
