Keeping with the Tomcat theme of Mile High’s Miramar scenery, but unfortunately for a different sim, Turbine Sound Studios have today released their HD Soundset for the Grumman F-14 Tomcat Air Superiority fighter.
According to the product information, the developers have taken some existing recordings that they had of the aircraft, cleaned them up and enhanced them, then added more custom sounds for the aircraft including an ambient cockpit noise.

Funny on the product page it shows pics of the aircraft…but not the same. Me thinks these are just downloaded from the net and not the actual aircraft that was recorded if one was actually recorded at all.
I don’t know, but two of the Toms are from the same unit, so could have been photographed on the same day.
The third has a different typeface for the a/c code and “USS John F Kennedy” on the leading edge rather than the “Pukin’ Dogs” of VF-143, who were evidently shore stationed at that point. There’s nothing at all stopping the shot from being taken on the same ramp on the same day, though.
So you may be right, you may be wrong, but just because the photos are of different aircraft doesn’t mean they were “downloaded from the internet”. I quite frequently take photos of different aircraft when I go to see one!
