It’s an interesting beast, is the Convair R3Y Tradewind. Originally conceived as a long-range maritime patrol aircraft, with a design intended to overcome many of its peers shortcomings, the total of 11 built went through a number of changes in their short, 9 year, career, ending life as refuelling aircraft before the final airframes were retired.
This latest release from Virtavia features three models of the type in four liveries, all with functional Virtual cockpits (2d panel fans will want to look elsewhere), numerous animations and other graphical features, as well as an appropriate soundset for its Allison turboprops.
