Weather and effects package OpusFSX has been updated to version 3.40.0, bringing a large number of new and improved features, including GPSOut functionality for 3rd Party navigation and planning packages including real-world tool SkyDemon. Also included are significant numbers of new and improved weather effects such as volumetric fog support in P3Dv2, improvements in wind shift handling, more localised Site Effects and support for Buttkicker hardware.
At the same time, the Beta of version 3.40.1 has been announced, adding dynamic wind control for intended wind step shifts, such as when crossing a Jetstream.
