The incoming version 4 of Prepar3D will need a new module from Pete Dowson.
His FSUIPC tool is a pure 32bit mode that is not compatible with the 64bit architecture of P3D v4. So there will be a new module FSUIPC 5, not an upgrade from FSUIPC 4, and it needs time to be coded so it shouldn’t be ready on the release date of the flight sim.

Bummer I was hoping for an update of v4 for p3d 4 and then a v5 …… but understandable, I already god news of ASN and ASCA being a free update, I am alredy happy!
I would like to give my encouragements to Peter Dowson and I would like to thanks him for his outstanding work.
It is a great contribution for the evolution of flight simulator since its creation …
Very happy for the announcement.
Thank you Pete.
It’s great news that Pete is willing to re-write FSUIPC for 64-bit P3D. I certainly don’t mind paying for a newer version either. Given all the years Pete’s been updating FSUIPC for free, he really deserves something a extra by now.
Totally agree. FSUIPC has proven itself to be the very first essential add-on/utility in FS. And it is so reasonably priced.
I think it a great shame that LM do not consider it worthwhile communicating with Pete, as it is Lm will now produce a product that is useless unless you like the comic book scenery that is 15 years old and a/c that are naff.
Scenery never used FSUIPC.
Most if not all recent aircraft don’t use it either.
The new version is also available for Flight Sim World (FSW) ???
No, it is exclusively made for P3D v4 64bit.
Why not, do not anybody do the homework for the future?
The homework for the future might be that Pete is just not interested in delving into DTG let alone when we don’t even know about SDK or anything.
TBH I’m happy enough that there will be at least some FSUIPC version for P3D v4 and wasn’t really expecting that.
Yes, thank you Pete! 😀👍you rock sir!
Well done Mr Dowson, take your time to get it right. Serious flight simulation users will know the wait will be worthwhile. More than happy to purchase the new version. As another Steam and real Ale fan I know it will be worth waiting for!
Hey Pete very very good job mate the aviation community spirit is what you represent creating the most needed addon of all make it payware pete 5 or 10 dollars an ammount everyone can and will pay you deserve it
I have a full Dual seat simulator waiting for FSUIPC5. I could point a lot of fingers on whom has dropped the ball here on hardware/software integration. Hopefully Peter will save my “Bacon” soon. Thanks
My guess is he simply recompiled fsuipc4.x to 64x = $$
