The next update for the classic airliner McDonnell will add the Shared Cockpit feature ! Currently in Beta test, this will enable two pilots to share the controls and monitoring tasks during the same flight in the same virtual aircraft.
Fly The Maddog X developers even announced that the connection can be either a home network (LAN) or via Internet (WAN). They are also working on PBR materials tuning and the file structures for future enhancements.
