Microsoft announced that have started to develop both ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 in partnership with Aerosoft (Hans Hartmann, founder of Digital Aviation and main developer of the CRJ series for the German publisher).
The turboprop were engineered in the 1980’s in the South of France, by the company Avions de Transport Regional, launched by Airbus and Leonardo groups.
