FSexpo – Just Flight : Project of Airbus A300B4 for MSFS

Exciting news for flight simulation enthusiasts! Just Flight has recently announced the development of the highly anticipated A300B4 Professional for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This study-level airliner aims to deliver an authentic and immersive experience of flying one of the pioneering wide-body twin-jet aircraft.

The A300, which first took to the skies in 1972, holds the distinction of being the first twin-engine aircraft to pioneer extended twin operating procedures (ETOPS). The A300B4 variant, introduced in 1975, boasted an increased fuel capacity and improved high lift systems.

With the Just Flight A300B4 Professional, users can expect highly detailed exterior models that include a choice between CF6 or JT9D engines. The aircraft will be available in both Cargo and Passenger configurations, and the developers have meticulously animated various components such as dynamic wing flex, spoilers, flaps/slats, and passenger and cargo doors.

What sets the A300B4 Professional apart is the inclusion of complex custom-coded systems that are based on real-world aircraft manuals. This attention to detail extends to the hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and pressurization systems, ensuring a realistic and accurate simulation. The navigation systems will feature custom INS (Inertial Navigation System) and FMC (Flight Management Computer), as well as options for the Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) panel and the A300’s N1 limit computer and autothrottle.

Step into the cockpit of the A300B4 Professional, and you’ll find the Captain, Co-pilot, and Flight Engineer positions meticulously modeled to replicate the authentic experience. Every switch, knob, lever, and gauge has been animated and made functional. The cockpit is adorned with highly detailed 8K and 4K textures, which showcase realistic wear and tear and lighting effects. With the integration of 3D Wwise sounds and accurate flight dynamics, Just Flight aims to provide a truly immersive experience of flying a three-crew steam-gauged aircraft from the 1970s.

The announcement of the Just Flight A300B4 Professional has sparked immense excitement within the flight simulation community. Aviation enthusiasts can look forward to the release of this study-level airliner, which promises to deliver a meticulously detailed and authentic representation of the iconic A300B4. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development and get ready to take to the skies in one of the aviation industry’s game-changing aircraft.
