The approach into LCY is very challenging and impressive. You will fly above the City of London – sight-seeing is guaranteed! It’s possible to take a look at the Central of London before the final turn on the runway. In the base-leg of runway 09 you can see the House of Parliament, the London Eye and the Shard. As you finished the turn, you can see the Tower Bridge to your right. Your aircraft needs a steep-approach capability to operate at LCY. On the Final you can see the O2-Arena.

The glideslope has an angle of 5.5 degrees, you will need the speedbrakes to get down safely. Next to the runway there is “The Crystal” and the London Borough of Newham. London City Airport has one of the interestings Approaches. The Approach onto runway 27 is interesting as well, you will fly above the famous Queen Elisabeth Bridge and you will have a great view of the River Thames. There is as well an approach angle of 5.5 degrees, like runway 09. This is to prevent the City of noise. After you vacated the runway, the exciting things are not over yet! Taxing at London City Airport is very challenging, too. You have to make a 180 turn once you arrived at your final parking position. If you don’t, you have to get out of the position and try it again! AeroX London City brings you the Airport in a stunning level of detail along with many custom objects around it, such as the Tube-Line running next to the Airport, the Newham Council Building and the entire island around the Airport in all its typical British appearance.
