Sim Update 2 Beta (v1.4.13.0) – April 15, 2025

The beta testers of MSFS2024 are very busy. Yesterday a new build – v1.14.13.0 – Below you can see the general bug fixes:

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a potential crash in initial loading when the safe boot popup disappears

EFB

  • Fixed usage of EFB tag in panel.cfg when it was not a sim-attachment

Virtual Reality

  • Fixed a random crash when switching to VR with DevMode & Smart Docking System activated

DevMode

  • Added access to legacy fs2020 UI framework, to let you access it you can await window.legacyInit(); before loading your js.

Scenery Editor

  • Fixed rectangles changing length when edited

SDK

Exporter 3DSMAX

  • Removed AnimationOut : We generated the out animation by inversing the AnimationIn. The outputed babylon animation must be only the In Animation.
  • Fixed the incorrect wiperMesh generation when they’re multilples meshes
  • Fixed render settings output in wiper mask generator (always output an RGBA)

Exporter Blender

  • Fixed flags in texture xml generation

Beginning with the Sim Update 2 Beta, Career and Challenge League will have separate progress and leaderboards from the live build, and Multiplayer will also exist in a separate environment.

This means Career mode progress in the live build will not carry over to the flighting build, and vice versa. In addition, Challenge League in the flighting build will have a separate leaderboard from the live build. To participate in multiplayer, all users must be either on the current live build or the flighting build (users on different builds will not be able to interact with each other).

Making Career, Challenge League, and Multiplayer separate in the flighting build allows us to test additional changes and fixes that cannot be tested in the live build. All Career specializations will be unlocked by default in the flighting build to allow participants to preview changes that might not be available (based on Career mode progress) in the live build.
