IcarusGold’s Gloster Gladiator

IcarusGold, the aircraft developer from Italy, has released its Gloster Gladiator for FSX. In their own words it features “…… new highly detailed model, a stunning dynamic virtual cockpit, complete with standard FSX features, a new fully animated vintage pilot (dynamic shine), a mini panel and virtual cockpit with pop-ups for GPS….”. (Did they have GPS around in 1938, we wonder ?????). 

Also included are “…… customized engine sounds, 25 skins, 1 airbase Malta scenery, 2 flights, virtual cockpit fully clickable.  All appropriate FSX features and animations are included. Documents with installation tutorial, new guns effect with sound and much more….”.

“…….  The Gloster Gladiator (or Gloster SS.37) was a British-built biplane fighter, used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the Royal Navy (as the Sea Gladiator variant) and was exported to a number of other air forces during the late 1930s. It was the RAF’s last biplane fighter aircraft and was rendered obsolete by newer monoplane designs even as it was being introduced. Though often pitted against more formidable foes during the early days of the Second World War, it acquitted itself reasonably well in combat……”.
