France Touristique has released his second volume now, titled “Pays de la Loire”. It will “….. enable you to supplement the five departments which compose this area of France. The product includes photorealistic scenery (IGN source) with standard FSX to 2.50 m of resolution, an area of about 18390 km2. Mesh IGN high-resolutions. Night textures for the entire area and a complete management of the water mask and blend masks….”.
Also included are very detailed airfields of Island of Yeu “Le Grand Phare”, Les Sables d’Olonne, Heliport of “Fromentine” and “Port Joinville” (island of Yeu) exploited by “OYA Helicopters”. In addition a private aerodrome of “Fromentine” and the Aerodrome of “La Flèche”.

This looks really good from the screenie.
Strange really, but it seems that the best sceneries are simply not getting enough air time. France is producing a lot of good stuff, but the majority of the sim world doesn’t mention it much.
I think it is time to start exploring this country a bit more. I think there may be some good stuff to be had and even though the prices may appear high, the quality appears worthwhile.
…oh – I think I need a few terabytes more hard disc space too.
FranceVFR used to be very high on my “wants” list in FS9, as did CoBoy until he pulled out of FS altogether.
It would be nice to see people getting out of their “comfort zone” regarding FS a little and touring the rest of the world. There’s some really nice sceneries out there to see!
