Following the recent announcement of a new product line from REX, the first part has been released – REX4 Texture Direct, for Microsoft FSX, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v1.4 and 2.0.
While the filesize of 6.2GB itself might be enough to raise some eyebrows, when decompressed, that comes to over 16GB of material, across all the definition options, with over 16,000 files and what the developers claim to be “lightning fast” texture installs using pre-configured or the user’s own selections of themes and options.
Compatible with DX9, 10 and 11, the software brings with it some fixes for repetitive tile textures as well as just improving the overall look and feel of the sim. Take a look here for more screenshots and details, plus, obviously, the “buy now” link!
