Microsoft Flight Simulator : World Update XIV Released – Central Eastern Europe

Microsoft Flight Simulator enthusiasts are in for a treat as World Update XIV has been released, taking virtual pilots on an immersive journey through the captivating landscapes of Central Eastern Europe. This latest update focuses on six countries: Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, each brimming with historical charm, architectural wonders, and breathtaking scenery.

A Joint Effort for Authenticity

To ensure the utmost realism, Microsoft Flight Simulator collaborated with Bing Maps and Maxar, assembling fresh aerial imagery and digital elevation data to create a never-before-seen level of fidelity for this region. The outcome is nothing short of awe-inspiring, with 103 points of interest (POIs) to explore, spread across the six countries. Each POI, from castles and towers to churches, has been meticulously reproduced to await discovery from above.

Partnering with Gaya Simulations, the update also introduces six bespoke airports: Karlovy Vary Airport (LKKV) in Czechia, Poprad-Tatry Airport (LZTT) in Slovakia, Pécs-Pogány Airport (LHPP) in Hungary, Zagorje ob Savi Airport (LJZA) in Slovenia, Rijeka International Airport (LDRI) in Croatia, and Prijedor Urije Airport (LQPD) in Bosnia-Herzegovina. These airports add authenticity and immersion to the flying experience in the region.

Immersive Urban Landscapes

The developers did not stop at countryside exploration; they have also recreated ten cities throughout Central Eastern Europe with stunning photorealistic quality. Simmers can now explore the urban beauty of Prague, Brno, and Plzeň in Czechia; Budapest in Hungary; Ljubljana and Maribor in Slovenia; and Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia, as well as Sarajevo and Banja Luka in Bosnia-Herzegovina. These cities offer endless opportunities for exploration, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

Exciting Challenges and Bush Trips

Adding to the excitement, World Update XIV includes three discovery flights: Prague in Czechia, Sarajevo in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Budapest in Hungary. These discovery flights allow players to appreciate the region’s landmarks and unique characteristics from the sky.

For those seeking more thrills, three landing challenges await: Kastela (LDSP) in Croatia with an Airbus A320neo, Vzletišče Zagorje Ob Savi (LJZA) in Slovenia with a Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4 Turbo Porter, and Poprad-Tatry (LZTT) in Slovakia with an Airbus A310-300.

Additionally, players can embark on four incredible bush trips: “Czech Route,” “Northeast Adriatic,” “Danube Journey,” and “Carpathian Journey.” These journeys offer a mix of adventure and exploration as players fly through the picturesque landscapes of Central Eastern Europe.
