In the latest series of updates from iniBuilds for Microsoft Flight Simulator, three well-known airports have received substantial enhancements. New York John F. Kennedy (KJFK) benefits from an array of improvements, including LOD model and texture enhancements, material cleanup, optimized rail and road networks, and fixes for night lighting, interior loading, and GPU load issues. These changes significantly elevate the visual fidelity and performance of JFK in the simulator.
iBlueYonder’s Dallas Love Field (KDAL) sees a version 1.2.0 update that introduces corrections for taxiway signs, accurate registration details for the museum’s Southwest Airlines 737, and texture optimizations. Additionally, enhancements such as 3D modeling of a drainage canal, improved ground textures, and safety features like wigwags and flashing runway guard lights have been added. Furthermore, the NetJets business jet hangar now boasts an interior with proximity-triggered hangar doors, contributing to a more immersive KDAL experience.
Buffalo Niagara Airport (KBUF) has been revitalized with the version 1.1.0 update. Fixes address various issues, including bumps, approach lights, and double signage, while also reducing Ground Support Equipment density and correcting missing interior textures. The update brings substantial additions like extra parking spaces, options to disable static aircraft and GSE, and the installation of helipads. Overall, these updates reflect iniBuilds’ commitment to enhancing MSFS, offering more realism and performance, and elevating the flight simulation experience at these three airports.
– Improvements to, or adding of, LOD models.
– Addition of LOD textures.
– Removal of unused materials.
– General tidy up of materials and geometry.
– Adjustment of LOD values.
– Rail/road network now fully lodded and separated into smaller models.
– Missing night lighting T4 [added new mast lights].
– Interior doesn’t load in when spawning at A47 (and close by).
– Departure area of T4 causing abnormally high GPU load.
– Taxiway signs not illuminated at night.
– Terrain dip around ZA/YA.
– Bumps on next to runway 31R.
– Bumps in runway fixed.
– ADDED: taxiway lines/parking added and updated next to T8 Parking 16-18.
– ADDED: ramp parking 1A to 1D (T8).
– Fixed LOD no parallax issue on TWA Hotel.
– Fixed parallax flicker on T5 windows.
– Fixed geometry flicker on some T8 windows.
– Corrected taxiway signs to read the proper runways.
– Added correct registration to SWA 737 in museum.
– Resized the vast majority of 4k textures to 2k in order to improve performance.
– Added a 3D model of the drainage canal on the south end of the field, between runways (set into the ground).
– Enhanced ground poly textures.
– Added wigwags and flashing runway guard lights to all hold short areas.
– Added an interior to the NetJets bizjet hangar, along with hangar doors that have a proximity trigger so they open when approached.
– Bump in D6.
– Approach lights in active runway areas (all runways).
– Double signage near TACair.
– Reduce GSE density.
– Some missing interior textures.
– Additional GA and ramp parking in all areas.
– Option to disable statics (only midfield 727 placed).
– Option to disable all GSE.
-Fixed control panel.
-All apron-based GSE has been replaced with newer models/variants. This brings the KBUF GSE models into line with our most recent releases. This should significantly improve the overall feel of the airport. Plus they’re all lodded now!
