Still the same shoddy exposed spring mechanism of the existing X52. Will they ever learn, it gets gunked up with dirt and starts to stiffen over time and loose its smooth movement. I suppose we do live in a consumable society these days though. Fortunately my Thrustmaster WH will likely outlast the next 6 generations of joysticks from Saitek.

There’s no need to swear on our front page, thanks. I’m inclined to agree, though. While I’ve never had problems with the exposed springs on Saitek joysticks and I know a lot of people who like flying helicopters actively look for them, because they can be tie-tagged out of the way to create a zero-load stick, I really am not a fan of ‘teaser’ videos that don’t actually show you anything useful!
The cable tie trick never worked, they kept slipping. I know I am one of those helicopter pilots 🙂 A reduced rate spring is far easier to fit on a TM Warthog than it is to fit one to the Saitek sticks.
I know a few people who are still using it, so maybe they’re using a different type of cable tie or something? I don’t know so won’t comment beyond saying that they still use it to the best of my knowledge.
