France VFR made their X-Plane airports product range compatible with the latest version of Laminar Research : you can now use the following sceneries in X-Plane 12, and still in X-Plane 11 : Nantes, Chambéry Aix-Les-Bains, Lille, Rennes, Clermont-Ferrand, Montpellier.
The French team has also made compatible with X-Plane 12 their Tree Factory series. Divided in several regions to cover the whole country, this add-on spreads dense trees coverage in 3D that you can use over the default scenery, or even better, on other photoreal terrain products.
