Carenado have added the FS9 version of their C337H Skymaster to simMarket’s catalogue, where it now is now available alongside its stablemate for FSX and P3D. The aircraft was a unique attempt to create an aircraft with twin engine performance but without the dangers inherent to the offset engine arrangement most commonly used. Although the design actually caused additional complications  and complexity for operators, it saw action in a Forward Air Control and Close Support role with several militaries around the planet and is popular with its pilots. Given the comparatively small numbers produced, though, it’s unlikely that you’ll get…

Pacific Sim applies his recipe in FSX to reproduce the local ambiance with a photoreal and seasonal terrain at 15cm/pixel resolution, custom vegetation and realistic night environment effects. If you get a closer look at the airport buildings and apron, you’ll see here again high definition photoreal textures.

Aerosoft, who are responsible for publishing boxed versions of the FTX sceneries, have now released the North Island of this set as a boxed product, which is available through simMarket. I guess AirTrack will become one of the popular apps designed for simmers equipped with an iPhone or better with an iPad. It can be used with FSX, FS9, X-Plane, Elite simulation. IP Objects sells a complete product with primary flight display and navigation display, COM and NAV controls, FMC / waypoints functions, and even MCP remote control. Of course it meets some limitations of use with some advanced aircraft with custom codes like the PMDG 737 NGX, but you may find it very attractive anyway. One more example, you can combine it with a free Air Account for additionnal…

Did you ever wonder why you had to make a manual install for your PMDG aircraft in Prepar3D if it’s supposed to be “alike FSX” ? And you thought that PMDG should have made the automatic installer for you already, if that’s not that hard for them. As end users, we don’t have to worry a lot about commercial rules, contracts and so on between involved companies. PMDG manager accepted to explain their point of view and pending issues about Prepar3d and Lockheed Martin. The first point has been that p3D licecne made the user way too dependent upon Lockheed…
