We’ve not posted new releases at simMarket for a couple of days, so rather the fill the frontpage with lots of posts – often containing information that if you’re interested in a product, you’ll find on the product page, we’ll post a round-up again to just let you know what’s there. First up, we’ll cover the train sim releases, starting with the base package itself: Train Simulator 2013 (German Edition… Yes, we’re back on that regional malarkey again) is now available in a boxed set. To go with this, you’ll find four new “Expert Line” releases from Virtual Railroads: Three…

simMarket has another four packs of add-ons for Train Simulator again today – two more from Trains and Drivers, plus, this time, two new releases from Virtual Railroads. First up from Trains and Drivers is “Sherman Hill”. The only add-on that’s required for these six scenarios is the title route, as all the rolling stock is default to the sim and/or route. The second T&D package is “Family Reunion”, set on the British Isle of Wight route with, again, no add-ons required other than this. As the pack name implies, these six activities are all based around a reunion…

Trains and Drivers must be clearing a backlog as, following their three scenario pack releases yesterday, today brings another round of three to add to your TS2012/13 collection. First up this time is Railtour US. Unsurprisingly, this uses pretty much every official US route available, as well as the F40PH California Zephyr add-on, with six activities across a range of passenger hauling jobs, simulating a tour around much of the United States. Next up is Small Engine, Great Work! This pack uses the Hatchet Hill Quarry and Doncaster Works routes, with the Class 03 shunter pushing and pulling around loads…

Train Simulator 2012/13 users who are looking for more to do in the sim may want to check out these latest three packages of commercial activities from Trains and Drivers: The Royal Train invites users to take part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and tour the Northern UK in control of the specially liveried Class 67, with 8 activities incorporating a variety of routes. Just SECML! comprises 8 activities set around the Just Trains Scottish East Coast Main Line route, set in the modern era and using several additional Just Trains add-ons as well as the route. Travelling by…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbXCcUrw1FY Concerns about the new EULA for Train Simulator 2013 and 3rd party developers don’t seem to have put off Roussillon Aero Simulation, who have released their latest package for both TS2012 and TS2013, entitled “Volume 11: Special Freightliner”. Although many of the activites take place on routes that were default to TS2012 (and are now paid extras for TS2013, due to the route changes with the newer sim), you will also need additional downloadable content such as the Class 70 and Class 86 locomotives to run the activities included. Check out the requirements, details of the activities and purchase…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c7-oAx9-Xk JustTrains have expanded the number of boxed products they sell through simMarket, with the addition of four new sets for Train Simulator 2012. According to information from RailSimulator.com, the developer of the simulator, TS2012 add-ons “…will continue to work as normal within Train Simulator 2013 and will not be affected.” TS1013 is, of course, now due for release in only two days time on the 20th September. The packages now available comprise three British routes and one “Advanced” passenger DEMU. The DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit, for those not familiar with BR acronyms!) is the Bombardier Class 220/221 Voyager…

We’ve mentioned James Woodcock’s website before with regards to information about previous Train Simulator releases and today he has uploaded a Podcast featuring an interview with two of the team from railsimulator.com, developers of current TS2012 and its replacement, TS2013. The interview informs listenerst to the podcast of a number of changes and features of the new sim, so whether you are an existing TS2012 user who will be getting the free upgrade in a couple of weeks’ time, or whether you are interested in getting the new version on release, it’s worth taking the time to listen in. The…

SBB Route 1 has been available as a boxed product for Railworks 3, but Aerosoft adds finally the download version ! After purchase and download of the 725 Mb file, you are ready for a ride in Swiss mountains, with a photoreal 70km long route with diesel and electric locos, passengers or freight carriages. Note that the modern RE460 locomotive is only here for AI traffic without cab. Activities, signals infos and manuals are included in various languages.

The image really says almost as much information as we have at the moment, but Railsimulator.com have announced that the next version of their Railworks/TS franchise, Train Simulator 2013, will be released on 20th September 2012. The only other information available right now is included in this image posted to Facebook, which gives some route and loco/unit information – including that at least one current add-on appears to be becoming a default route. Edit : More detailed informations can be found at The Engine Driver official blog about upgrading from TS2012 to TS2013 and DLC / third party expansions compatibility.

This one may be more of interest to anyone who has seen Train Simulator 2012 and baulked at the price, as those who already have it probably know already, but the product is currently on a pretty good special offer at Steam. At the time of writing, there are 13 hours left in the Steam “Daily Deal” that offers a massive 90% off TS2012’s base package, making the Deluxe version, which includes the Horseshoe Curve route, a mere £2.99 in the UK store (approximately €4.25 in the Eurozone) and there is a minimum of 50% off all downloadable content, although…
